The Donate4Mike campaign was set up to save the life of Mike Brandon from Bristol who needed ‘last-hope’, T-Cell therapy abroad after he been given days to live and was told that there were no medical options left available to him in the UK.
The appeal touched the heart of the nation, became an instant online sensation and the life-saving, six-figure, sum was raised in a matter of days.
Shortly after taking part on the cutting edge medical trial for CAR T-Cell Therapy the couple revealed the wonderful news that Mike was beating the disease and his bone marrow was now completely clear of cancer cells.
I worked closely with the family throughout the appeal and the secondary appeal coordinating several press days and high level broadcast activity across the national and regional press.
