In the wake of the terrorist attack in Manchester on 22 May 2017 in which 22 people were killed and many more injured, The fundraising platform JustGiving helped raise over £4.7 million to support the victims and their families.
The British Red Cross in association with We Love MCR, the Lord Mayor of Manchester’s charity established the Manchester Emergency JustGivingFund which has raised over £1.5million and the Manchester Evening News appeal which has raised over £2.4million
I helped manage the press activity around the emergency landing page and the main hero appeals connected with the incident and liaised directly with those affected by the tragedy.
