A GoFundMe appeal for a mother-of-three who was fighting against the clock to raise money to fund lifesaving treatment.
Former Children’s Nursery Assistant Maria Barry realised something was wrong after she developed ‘REALLY ITCHY HANDS’ which turned out to be sign of rare terminal cancer which the doctors had missed.
The family were overwhelmed to discover they had to try and find £14,000 every month for 12 months for specialist gene therapy for their mum.

I worked closely with Maria’s daughter Nadia and the family was very grateful to receive support. The page was syndicated on the Reach News Wires and placed in nearly 25 media titles including the Independent, The Sunday Mirror and the MEN.
