AN URGENT GoFundMe appeal for a former mixed martial arts enthusiast to have surgery abroad, after a series of undiagnosed health issues left him immobile, in chronic pain, and unable to compete, work or even live a normal every-day life.
Chris Fantetti said: “I am living out my worst nightmare, one day waking in what I can only describe as a 90-year old’s body. I used to be training every day and super fit but now I can barely walk and certainly can’t compete – I’m in constant pain.”
I worked closely with Chris to help raise awareness of his health condition and raise monies towards his medical treatment abroad. Since his condition had gone largely undiagnosed in the UK, he was keen to talk about his experiences and generate maximum exposure for the appeal to help anyone else going through a similar situation. I issued an official press release and sent photos and video out to accompany the story.
Chris has since been diagnosed with Lyme Disease and so we issued a follow up story and generated further national coverage in the Mail and the Mail on Sunday.
“I feel like the UK Health System has failed me”

Feedback
“I can’t believe how much coverage we got. Thanks for all your help in raising awareness Jane. It’s time to speak out on behalf of those who may not have a voice. If I can help just one other person going through this it will be worth it.”
