A HEARTFELT GoFundMe crowdfunding appeal launched by the family of Stephen Halliday, the British father macheted to death in the dream home he was building with his wife in the Dominican Republic.
Given the sensitivities, of the appeal, I worked closely with the family in the US and collected extra quotes and information which I drafted into a fully approved press release and sent out to the home and international news desks.
The story ran in several national papers and PA syndicated the story across the regional press. An exclusive interview with Stephen’s widow was also arranged with INews. The family were extremely pleased with the coverage and sent some lovely feedback. The appeal has now raised nearly $30,000.
