A mum from Gillingham, who was left with a tiny scratch after saving a stranger from drowning, is now begging doctors to cut off her arm.
Jade Harle received the seemingly-small injury in a heroic rescue mission, but the small scratch turned into a gruesome open wound and now she’s desperate to have her arm amputated and replaced with a prosthetic.
Four years ago, the Gillingham mum, 32, who was an RNLI medic, was out boating when she saw someone in trouble in the water. She raced to drag them out but scratched her arm on something in the water in the process and then contracted pyoderma gangrenosum.
“I begged doctors to cut off my arm after tiny scratch left me fighting for my life…”

I contacted Jade to offer media support and shared the appeal in the press. The appeal has now been featured in the Mirror, The Mail, The Sun and the US Sun.
