Appeal created by family of East London Bow Crane victim. 28-year-old Sam Atkinson managed to escape the building but his great aunt June Harvey (85) was killed in the tragic accident.

June Harvey, 85, was sorting clothes upstairs in the terrace house in Bow when the crane plummeted through the roof on Wednesday afternoon.

She was standing just metres from her niece Jacqueline Atkinson, who miraculously escaped with cuts and bruises.

Sam Atkinson, 28, was sleeping on the sofa downstairs and described desperately trying to dig through the rumble to reach his mother Jacqueline and great aunt who were trapped upstairs.

I worked closely with the family following the tragic accident managing the press support and releasing info and images to the press on their behalf to secure extensive national coverage.
