A young family with three children who were separated for a whole year by immigration issues because of visa red tape, faced the possibility of being separated again after the Home Office ‘lost paperwork’.

Andy Russell and his Chinese wife Molly set up a GoFundMe campaign to hep with legal assistance after seven years of wrangling with the Home Office to allow Molly to stay in the UK. But after national press exposure for the appeal, their application was reviewed and Molly was granted the indefinite leave to remain (ILR) or permanent residency, within a matter of weeks.
