“Thank you very much for your help Jane. We don’t even know how to thank you. We have all seen the huge difference. I really appreciate your support and huge help. Our son now has a brighter future ahead… Simbarashe is now in Pretoria South Africa. The GoFundMe donations are seeing us through this dream.”

A HEARTFELT appeal for a four-year-old little boy from Zimbabwe who has a football-sized tumour on his face that is slowly killing him.

The tumour – which the family say started as just a wart- means Simbarashe is unable to eat solid food and has difficulty breathing. It has also resulted in the family feeling ostracised by people in their village who don’t understand the condition.

I liaised with Simbarashe’s aunt in the UK and placed the story with Caters News Agency. The campaign subsequently received multiple hits across the national press and a number of doctors have subsequently come forward to offer the family medical assistance.
