AN UNUSUAL GoFundMe crowdfunding campaign launched by Oxford student Lulu Jemimah, from Uganda, who decided the best way to keep her parents happy while remaining independent was to marry herself!
A great story and Lulu was happy to speak to the media and share high quality pictures. I conducted a phone interview and wrote a release which I pitched to key national contacts, the Black media and the Oxford regional press.
Lulu was delighted to receive so much exposure and it was great to get coverage in 13 titles including a number of national papers, The Voice & BBC News-Swahili. In a short time, the appeal raised half its total.
