The Grand Designs Eco House appeal in January 2018 was actually one of the biggest JustGiving PR campaigns EVER with over 340 pieces secured.
The appeal was created to help the Dale family rebuild their lives after their eco home was sadly destroyed by a house fire on New Year’s Day.
The unusual eco house, based in the sustainable community of Lammas in rural Pembrokeshire famously featured on Grand Designs and was described as ‘the cheapest house ever built in the Western Hemisphere’ when it appeared on the Channel 4 programme in 2016.
I managed the PR for the campaign breaking the story about the terrible accident which quickly generated blanket press coverage across the national print and online media and was syndicated on the wire.
