A heart-breaking JustGiving fundraising appeal launched to help a young boy fulfil his last wish to be laid to rest next to his deceased mother so that she could ‘look after him in heaven’.
Seven-year-old Filip Kwasny lost his mother to cancer, when he was only two, before being diagnosed with Leukaemia himself. Sadly he lost his battle with cancer but we did help him make his final wish come true.
I liaised closely with the page owner to help generate blanket coverage across the national papers helping the family raise over £40,000 in the process.
Reunited in heaven…
Key Results:
The appeal smashed its original £4,000 target reaching 10 times that amount
It generated over 35 pieces of coverage (half of these were national titles)
Secured coverage in the Mail online, the Sun, The Mirror, the Telegraph, the Independent, The Metro & Yahoo
The family received hundreds of messages of support and enough money to cover Filip’s funeral arrangements and even help another family going through a similar ordeal
Most importantly, we were able to make Filip’s last wish come true so he can rest in peace
